Yeah i know the EGR closes at higher RPM, but pottering around at lower revs. before you need the power must add a fair bit of heat soak to the EGR. EGR gas gets hot enough to burn through thin metal. MK4.5 TDCI 140 Business Estate.

Mk7 Transit 2.2 TDCi Sluggish After Engine Swap. Newbie here so hope this is in the correct place. Ended up buying another engine from an 85ps model as I was told they're the same. Fitted everything from my original engine, apart from the fuel injectors as they had the same part numbers anyway, plus wasn't sure if my old ones were any good.
I just bought a 2008 Transit for my job and its idling a bit badly. Ive had it 3 weeks now and the revs drop from 800 to 700rpm when im stopped at he lights. I had a look on here last week to try and diagnose it and thought it might be the EGR Valve but that seems to be giving people problems in 3-6th gear.
